This information workshop will provide up to date information and research around choices in the management of the side effects of hormonal therapies for the treatment of breast cancer.
The information workshop will be held at Ennismore Retreat Centre in Cork city on Wednesday 8th March, 2017 between 11am – 1pm. The talk will be facilitated by Margaret Burke, Breast Care Nurse at Cork University Hospital and Fiona Moriarty, Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor at Cork ARC Cancer Support House.
The prescription of hormone therapy in the treatment of breast cancer often takes place when hospital treatments are finishing. Patients report that they feel they have less contact with their medical team during this time and tend to feel alone with this form of treatment.
This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and find out about what's current in research in this area. Maybe more importantly, participants can hear from and share with others experiencing similar issues.
Places are free of charge but very limited – please book your place with Fiona on 021 427 6688 or firstname.lastname@example.org
