World Cancer Day takes place on Thursday 4th February 2016 and explores how everyone – as a collective or as individuals – can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer.

Just as cancer affects everyone in different ways, all people have the power to take various actions to reduce the impact that cancer has on individuals, families and communities.

At Cork ARC, we work to reduce the stress associated with a cancer diagnosis, through our supports including our drop in centre and telephone support service, counselling, massage, support groups, information workshops, art therapy and our dedicated Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor. We offer regional supports also in West Cork and at NICHE Knocknaheeny.

World Cancer Day is a chance to reflect on what you can do, make a pledge and take action. Whatever you choose to do ‘We can. I can.’ make a difference to the fight against cancer. On World Cancer Day, Thursday 4th February 2016, join the conversation online and:

  • Inspire others to visit Cork ARC
  • Visit one of our centres for support
  • Volunteer to help raise funds for the centre
  • Share how Cork ARC has helped you
  • Talk about our services
  • Give A Gift to Cork ARC in support of our work
