We offer Information & Education sessions as part of Cork ARC Cancer Support House's service to support cancer patients and their families.

At Cork ARC we offer our visitors the opportunity to find out specific information from the Cork ARC team and specialists in the field, on topics such as diet and nutrition, hormonal therapies, bereavement, lymphoedema, prostate cancer and beauty / styling during and after cancer. 

We offer all of these sessions free of charge, but booking is essential for each event. Please see our Programme of Services for Cork city and for Bantry to find out upcoming dates.

Diet in Cancer

Our Diet in Cancer Information Evening introduces you to the types of food that can be particularly helpful to you during and post-treatment. It also offers you a chance to ask questions and recommends websites and booklets that are evidence based.


Our Bereavement Support Evening is open to anyone coping with the death of a loved one from cancer who feels they would like to learn and understand more about the grieving process.

The evening will include a mix of information and discussion that may support you in your loss.


Our prostate cancer information evening. offers you information on how cancer of the prostate can be managed, including PSA Testing, Watchful Waiting / Active Surveillance, Symptom Managment including LUTS, Erectile Disfunction & Incontinence.


This Information Morning provide up to date information and research around options in the management of the side effects of hormonal therapies for the treatment of breast cancer. 


This Information Morning provides practical information and instructions on exercise and movement to manage lymphoedema, to help with the prevention and management of the condition.


This information morning will help support and inform those with a colorectal cancer diagnosis.

Carers’ Morning

This session will offer support and information for those caring for someone living with a cancer diagnosis.
