Our group programmes focus on wellness through exercise and relaxation.

They are all led by experienced facilitators. Evidence shows that exercise has many benefits: it can reduce fatigue, improve physical fitness and considerably improve your feeling of wellness. Our T'ai Chi, Pilates and Yoga groups can help you with your exercise, all of which are adapted to your individual ability and pace.

Our yoga class can help you learn to relax through gentle breathing and exercise techniques. 


T’AI CHI

T'ai Chi can help you with relaxation and stress management through gentle movement.

  • Our next T’ai Chi programme at Cork ARC in Cork city commences on Monday 30th September, 12.30 - 1.30 pm for six weeks.


PILATES

Our pilates programme help increase rehabilitation and muscle strengthening.



ART THERAPY

Art Therapy can help you express your feelings in a safe and gentle way using a range of art materials. No experience of art or drawing is necessary.#


Mindfulness

Our Mindfulness class is aimed at developing skills of awareness using the breath in the present moment to bring ease and peace of mind. The benefits are an increased ability to relax and cope with short term and long term stressors.

  • Our Introduction to Mindfulness group commences in Cork ARC in Cork city on Tuesday 24th September, 1.30 – 2.30 pm, for six weeks.


Hour of Calm

This hour offers a quiet space led by an experienced meditation teacher, offering techniques of progressive relaxation, breath work, meditation, visualisation and compassionate kindness. 

Our Hour of Calm is a drop-in group, and all those affected by cancer are welcome to join in, no appointment is necessary.
