If you live in the West Cork area you will be glad to hear that Cork ARC is open in Bantry to serve the community of West Cork and South Kerry.
For many years patients and relatives in West Cork have been travelling to Cork for our services and having Cork ARC Cancer Support in Bantry will take away this long journey.
Our centre, located near Bantry Golf Course, is open on Tuesdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. where we offer you a space to feel at ease and warmly welcomed.
Visitors may drop in without an appointment and will be met by one of our trained volunteer listeners. From the 27th October, we will also open on Thursdays.
Living in West Cork brings specific challenges for cancer patients, rural isolation, large distances and issues of transportation being important ones. Cancer Connect provides support by transporting people from West Cork to and from our services in Cork. We are grateful that they will do so for Cork ARC in Bantry as well.
The Cork ARC service in West Cork is assisted by Bantry Hospice and we would like to thank them for their contribution and look forward to working closely with them into the future.
We are also very grateful to the people of West Cork, whether based at home or away, for their continued generosity in helping Cork ARC's West Cork service continue to provide such an invaluable support.
If you would like to contribute to our work in any way, you are very welcome to do so, and know that all funds donated will directly benefit the services of the Cork ARC Cancer Support House in West Cork.

Our mindfulness group will focus on the techniques that can help manage anxiety and stress and demonstrate techniques that encourage mindfulness, using the breath as our anchor, as well as visualisation. 6 week programme starting Thursday 3rd November.
Our aim is to help people understand their feelings & emotions when bereaved through cancer. Date to be confirmed.
