This year's Whiddy Island Carols will benefit cancer services in West Cork, including our West Cork centre based near Bantry.
Tim O'Leary of the Whiddy Island Ferry is organizing a fun-filled afternoon on the island on Sunday 3rd December in aid of Cork ARC in West Cork, Cancer Connect and Bantry Hospice. The ferry will be departing from Bantry Pier at 2pm, with mince pies, mulled wine, Christmas carols and a raffle will await guests at Bank House on the shores of Whiddy Island.
First prize in the raffle is a Christmas Hamper worth €300, and second prize is a Seafood Platter at Bank House. Third prize is a €50 Shopping Voucher. Tim will auction a signed rugby jersey kindly donated by Tadgh Furlong. Mr & Mrs Santa Claus will make a special appearance too, with some special gifts for the little ones.
The ferry fare is €10.00 per adult (children go free), with all ferry fares on the day, plus donations received, will benefit these three worthy causes who form a network of cancer support services in the West Cork and South Kerry areas.
