Rita Thompson Exhibition

  • Quay Co-Op Restaurant Gallery 24 O'Sullivan's Quay Cork Cork

Kerry-based artist Rita Thompson is set to benefit Cork ARC with 25% of proceeds from her upcoming exhibition at the Quay Co-Op Restaurant Gallery in Cork.

Running from Sunday 26th February to Sunday 26th March throughout the Quay Co-Op’s main restaurant gallery, Rita will present a range of works inspired by nature from abstract pieces, landscapes and still life work.

A self-taught painter, Rita works from her home studio in Killorglin Co. Kerry. She uses the mediums of oil, acrylic and watercolour to convey the colour and vibrancy of her surroundings. Some of Rita’s notable achievements include exhibiting in the ‘A Different Land, Irish Bog Land Interpretations’ exhibition at the Irish Arts Centre in New York and Chicago (2009) as well as studying under Mark Eldred, Diane Lavery, and Sahoko Blake at The National Gallery in Dublin.

A very special opening reception is set to take place at 4pm on Sunday 5th March at the Quay Co-Op, welcome to all who wish to meet the artist and to support Cork ARC.
