Cork ARC Cancer Support House, Haematology Research Trust and Friends of Leukaemia Patients, Cork, will be supported by the upcoming Golf Classic at Cork Golf Club on Friday 29th June.
Together, the three causes supported by this fundraiser impact thousands of people in Cork and Munster whose lives have been affected by leukaemia through increased research, psychological support and home from home accomodation.
Cork ARC Cancer Support House is a voluntary organisation and registered charity, established to provide a holistic centre in which people with cancer and their families can find emotional support, practical help and trust.
Our aim is to provide therapies that complement the medical model and adhere to best practice, so as to make a difference to the lives of those affected by cancer. Registered Charity No. 20049881.
The Haematology Research Trust (known as Hero) supports research into blood disorders such as leukaemia. Hero also supports the ongoing education of haematology nurses by funding specialist courses and post graduate degrees where other funding is not available and where the additional knowledge will directly improve the care of patients with blood disorders. CHY 19845.
Friends of Leukaemia Patients Cork Donations provide much needed support and practical help to leukaemia patients and their carers from the Munster area, providing a vital service for patients undergoing a bone marrow transplant in St. James Hospital Dublin. They provide home-from-home accommodation within walking distance of the hospital in case of readmission, free of charge to patients and their carers who have limited financial resources. CHY 15959.
