Jagged Edge Tour 2018

  • Crosshaven, Co. Cork Crosshaven, County Cork Ireland (map)

The Jagged Edge Tour cycling sportive out of Crosshaven Co. Cork benefits Cork ARC Cancer Support House.

The Jagged Edge Tour was launched in 2015 and has taken the Cork cycling scene by storm. The extremely hilly 130km (Pain) route presents a daunting challenge to the more experienced cyclist while the 65km (Pleasure) route caters for the more leisurely rider. There's definitely something there for every kind of cyclist!

 Main Sponsor: ESI Ultrapure

Take part in the Jagged Edge Tour from Crosshaven on Saturday 12th May 2018, and do your part in raising vital funding and awareness for the work of Cork ARC Cancer Support House. Large numbers are expected again this year, with some challenging climbs and routes awaiting cyclists.

Our sincere thanks to ESI Technologies Ltd who return for 2018 as the main sponsor.

Saturday 6th May was the day for Jagged Edge 2017 and race organiser Niall Kennedy welcomed a huge turnout from Cork's cycling community.

The 'Pain' route was 130km long and took in epic views along the Wild Atlantic Way,  out as far as Timoleague and back via Bandon. A great route for the more serious cyclist that wants a challenge!

The 65km or 'Pleasure' route took the same general direction but cut out “most” of the climbing. The route was mostly gently rolling terrain. A couple of short climbs near the start gets all the hard work done while you’re still fresh.

An army of volunteers ran the event so efficiently and safely on the day, from Crosshaven Community Hall to the length of the route. Thank you!

ESI as the main sponsor of the Jagged Edge Tour once again ensured that the day was a quality sportive for Cork cyclists, with significant funds raised for Cork ARC Cancer Support House.

Other key sponsors of the Jagged Edge Tour included Cafe Velo, Alan Perrot Manufacturing, Rose Property Services, Express Tyres Ltd.,Lee Van Rentals, Crosshaven Community Association, Innishannon Parish Centre team and Timoleague Community Association.

Thanks to everybody for making the day so enjoyable, and safe. See you in May 2018!

As long as you keep pedalling, we’ll keep going.
Thank you all for your support.
