The Jagged Edge Tour is a cycling sportive out of Crosshaven Co. Cork which will benefit Cork ARC Cancer Support House.
The Jagged Edge Tour was launched in 2015 and has taken the Cork cycling scene by storm. The extremely hilly 130km (Pain) route presents a daunting challenge to the more experienced cyclist while the 65km (Pleasure) route caters for the more leisurely rider. There's definitely something there for every kind of cyclist!
Take part in the Jagged Edge Tour from Crosshaven on Saturday 6th May 2017, and do your part in raising vital funding and awareness for the work of Cork ARC Cancer Support House. Large numbers are expected again this year, with some challenging climbs and routes awaiting cyclists.
Registration will be open soon, and if you're very curious about all that the Jagged Edge has to offer, visit jaggededgetour.com.
Our sincere thanks to ESI Technologies Ltd for their generous sponsorship and to organisers Niall Kennedy and Rob Horgan (Cafe Velo) for their support.
A LOOK BACK AT JAGGED EDGE 2016
The 'Pain' route was 130km long and took in parts of the rugged Cork Coast with plenty of climbing, out as far as Timoleague and back via Bandon. Perfect for the more serious cyclist that wants to test how their winter training routine has worked and get those legs pumping for the season ahead.
The 65km or 'Pleasure' route took the same general direction but cut out “most” of the climbing. The route was mostly gently rolling terrain. A couple of short climbs near the start gets all the hard work done while you’re still fresh.
It was a stunning day in Cork last April 16th, with a huge turnout and support from Cork's cycling community. A huge amount of funding was generated for the cancer support services of Cork ARC - over €14,000 was raised. Many thanks to all the sponsors, all those who took part in the day, and to the volunteers who ensured the race stayed safe throughout.
