Book of Poetry benefitting Cork ARC's services

Marguerite Bartley has penned a collection of poetry, called Seasons of our Hearts.

Originally born and raised in Cork City before settling in Fermoy, over the years, Marguerite dabbled in writing short stories, personalized and read to four young daughters.

Eventually, Marguerite ventured into publishing with poems and articles of interest.

People may remember reading her contributions to the daily 'On Reflections', published on the 'Cork Examiner’, as it was known then. Now, from her place in West Cork, Marguerite continues her interest in writing.

Much of her poetry drawn to capture the essence of nature as linked to the changing seasons of our everyday lives, emotions, and deeper selves.

Marguerite is donating all proceeds of the book to Cork ARC Cancer Support House in aid of our service in Bantry. Seasons of Our Hearts is available for €10.00

At my feet today,
a gift from summer’s leafing
dropped a timid hint of
autumn’s
near approach.
I raised my eyes
 to
scan the trees above...
