Dunnes Stores Summer Lunch raises over €18,000 for Cork ARC

Dunnes Stores continued support for Cork ARC helps raise €18,000 for our community cancer support services at our Annual Summer Lunch in Hayfield Manor.

Dunnes Stores Annual Summer Lunch committee members (front l-r) Tanya Murphy, Letitia Clynch, Eithne Barry and (back l-r) Carol Cave are joined by Ellen Joyce, Rachel Hill and Sheila McCarthy of Cork ARC.

Cork ARC welcomed guests to the Dunnes Stores Annual Summer Lunch at Hayfield Manor this past May to raise vital funds in aid of our cancer support services available at our centres in Cork city, Bantry, Youghal and from our weekly service at the NICHE Community Health Project.

The lunch was a resounding success, raising over €18,000 for Cork ARC to help the charity continue to provide cancer supports such as counselling, therapeutic massage, reflexology and a wide range of support programmes and educational talks free of charge to our visitors - cancer patients, their families and carers.

The lunch is organised by a very energetic and dedicated committee including Eithne Barry of Jacques Restaurant and former Trustee of Cork ARC, Letitia Clynch of Dunnes Stores, Carol Cave and Tanya Murphy. Many generous sponsors donated gifts and sponsorship to help Cork ARC raise much needed funds for our services.

The continued support of Dunnes Stores and the people of Cork directly helps Cork ARC to improve the long term mental health of cancer patients, their families and survivors in the Cork and greater Munster region.
