Cork ARC Cancer Support House will open in Youghal in 2017.
Cork ARC's service will extend to the East Cork and West Waterford communities in 2017 as we take over the running of Cuan House on Youghal's Friar St. Our service at Cuan House will operate similar to our Cork and Bantry centres, offering cancer support services to those undergoing treatment for cancer and their families. All services will continue to be available free of charge.
The core of our support at Cuan House will be provided through our drop-in and telephone service where our visitors will be able to call in or telephone without an appointment and talk with a trained volunteer. We will also offer practical information and emotional support, counselling, massage and reflexology.
As we expand into Youghal, we also hope to add to our team, and are now recruiting for a Cancer Support Co-ordinator to lead and deliver this new service. Interested applicants can download information about the position here.
The Trustees for Cuan House would like to say a special thank you to all the people who have helped them and supported Cuan House to date, that only for the enormous generosity the centre would not be here today. Cuan House will continue to fundraise in support of our service in Youghal.
