The Wild Atlantic Mizen Cycle is organised by the West Cork Emergency Services and Friends.
This is the fifteenth year of this cycle as organised by West Cork Emergency Services and Friends, starting in Bantry, taking in the stunning Mizen & Sheep's Head peninsulas.
The cycle supports some of Cork's most deserving charities - Cork ARC Cancer Support House, the Bantry Lifeboat, Bandon Area Special Children, Dunmanway Community Council, Dunmanway Community Garden and Huntington's Disease Association of Ireland.
The event is extremely popular, with a maximum of 500 places available this year, over 70% of places are now taken. Registration costs €55.00 plus a €3.00 booking fee. Your registration fee includes:
- Option of three great cycle routes
- Fantastic scenery, sea views
- Food and water stops
- Breakdown vehicles
- Free T-shirt for participants

- Free showers at the Maritime Hotel
- Proceeds to Charity
Three spectacular routes have been planned out, over 65 / 100 / 130 Kilometers, taking in some of the most scenic parts of the Mizen and Sheep's Head peninsulas. Registration/ sign–on will be at Bantry Fire Station on Friday 13th July from 7.00pm to 8.30pm and on Saturday morning 14th July from 7.30am to 8.30am. The Cycle will start at 9.00am; participants can start before this time but the Support Vehicles and Marshalls will not be available until the official starting time.
Race organisers have a great party atmosphere planned for Bantry town centre afterwards with a barbeque and live music taking place on the square.
