From our centre in Youghal, Cork ARC Cancer Support House offers a range of psychological supports for cancer patients and their families living in the communities of East Cork and West Waterford.
Open every Wednesday between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm, cancer patients, their families and carers are welcome to call in without an appointment, and speak to a trained volunteer listener.
All of our services are available free of charge, and we encourage all those affected by cancer to reach out to our service for support. Our range of supports and therapies are designed to complement the medical model and aim to alleviate the stress associated with a cancer diagnosis. We offer:
- Drop in and telephone support
- Therapeutic Massage
- Pilates for Men
one to one Breast Cancer Support
Cork ARC's Breast Cancer Nurse Counsellor will be available on Wednesday 13th June for one to one sessions with men and women affected by breast cancer. Please contact Colette Cahill in Cork ARC to arrange your appointment.
