Welcome to Cork ARC Cancer Support House at 29 Friar Street in Youghal.
From our centre in Youghal, Cork ARC Cancer Support House offer a range of psychological supports for cancer patients and their families living in the communities of East Cork and West Waterford.
All of our services are available free of charge, and people affected by cancer are warmly welcomed to the centre on Wednesdays between 10.00am and 4.00pm. We encourage cancer patients and their families to reach out to our team for support.
Clare O'Neill, an experienced Oncology nurse who has worked with Cork ARC for many years, leads the team of volunteer listeners, therapists and counsellors. Our range of supports and therapies are designed to complement the medical model and aim to alleviate the stress associated with a cancer diagnosis:
Drop in & Telephone Support
The drop in centre is the focus of the house, where every Wednesday, visitors are welcome to call in without an appointment, and speak to a trained volunteer listener.
