From Friday 23rd September, Cork ARC Cancer Support House will resume a weekly cancer support service at the NICHE Community Health Project every Friday between 10.00 am – 12.00 pm
The aim of our weekly service in the NICHE Community Health Project is to provide practical help and support to those affected by cancer and their families, free of charge. We warmly welcome cancer patients and their families living throughout the areas of Shanakiel, Gurranabraher, Hollyhill, Knocknaheeny, Fairhill, Shandon and further afield to avail of our service.
Cancer patients and family members can:
- Drop in at any time between 10.00 am and 12.00 pm each Friday morning for support
- Speak with an experienced Oncology nurse, without an appointment
- Join the 'Hour of Calm' from 10am every Friday
- Find out about & access a wide range of support services with Cork ARC
The service will be delivered by Catriona, an experienced Oncology nurse, our trained volunteer listeners and a trained facilitator. Cork ARC’s cancer support service has been warmly welcomed by the NICHE team, who are also available to provide further information.
We are very grateful to the HSE and NICHE for their support and enthusiasm for the work of Cork ARC.
