This recipe blog is an attempt to bring the joy and comfort of food back into the lives and families of those who have had a diagnosis of cancer.

Working with cancer patients, we have seen how diet and food can take on a very stressful focus in the lives of those affected by cancer and their families.

We have witnessed how family life has become so centred around the diet of the cancer patient that all conversation, laughter and comfort of sharing a meal together is now filled with scrutiny, anxiety and tension.

Yes food, nourishment and what we eat is important, but we feel that sometimes the balance gets skewed. Every year there is a new wonder diet, another juicing technique a supplement or a special tea which will cure all cancers. We have seen patients remortgage their houses to fly to clinics to ensure they can adhere to the rigorous regimens handed out as the recipes to save us from all ailments.

We have witnessed how family life has become so centred around the diet of the cancer patient that all conversation, laughter and comfort of sharing a meal together is now filled with scrutiny, anxiety and tension.

This is why we decided to do this recipe blog, we are not saying it is the answer to all the difficulties you will experience when you have to deal with a cancer diagnosis, however we hope it will help you and your family to keep a balanced, wholesome, approach to managing your diet.
